Corum to celebrate the 60th anniversary
The watchmaking brand Corum was founded in 1955 in a small town of Chaux-de-Fonds in Swiss. In 2015 the brand will celebrate its 60th anniversary. During all these years Corum has achieved a number of important and legendary facts and events:
In 1964 the Coin Watch model was created. At that time the model wasn’t furnished with a back case and ultrathin mechanism embedded into a 20-dollars gold coin Double Eagle. Many US presidents and politicians wore this model.
In 1970 Corum produced the Feather watch, decorated with the real bird feathers. It was a bold step in the watchmaking industry, which required the precise craftsmanship.
In 1986 Corum produced the Meteorite model, where the dial was done from a real meteorite.
In 1991 the Corum team won the Admiral’s Cup and this victory gave the name to the collection of watches.
In 2012 Corum presented a new sensational version of the legendary watch Admiral’s Cup Legend with a minute repeater. For the first time in the watchmaking business the minute repeater was striking a whole chord instead of one note.
